Luz Teacher

Luz is the teacher of the Early Bird Centre. She is also in charge of the buddy programme in which she works with the youth of the community of Los Órganos and the children of Mama Cocha. She has been working for Kiya since 2010 and has years of experience working with children with special needs. Luz lives in Los Órganos, is married, and has five sons. Several days a week, she takes care of her older sister who has Down Syndrome.

Mirian Psychologist

Mirian, the psychologist, works with the children of Mama Cocha and the Early Bird Centre and their families.  She also runs workshops in the Mama Café to empower women and provide them with tools to become more independent. Marian started working for Kiya in 2013 after having gained experience working with children with special needs in various orphanages.
