Mama Cocha

The team at Mama Cocha consists of two substitute mothers, a speech and physiotherapist, a psychologist, a teacher and a watchman.  They are all local professionals who are working unbelievably hard and making a huge difference to the young people’s lives.  




Hedu du Deilly Agurto Zapata

Coordinator of the Mama Cocha Center


Hedu is the coordinator of the Mama Cocha center. She is in charge of the administration of the center, and of the welfare of the children. She coordinates and enforces the social programmes of the center, presents and undertakes projects and also seeks support from donors to the center.

Yulet

Physiotherapist


Yulet is the therapist at our centre. She has been working with us since 2001. She lives with her husband in the same neighbourhood and she has 3 children, one of which is in college.




Karina Cordova Guarderas

Psychologist


Karina is the psychologist of the center. Her responsibilities are to evaluate the history of the patients and their family and guide and give support to every situation of the beneficiary families.


She makes conducted plans for every child from early stimulation to the speech therapy. She also orients and informs the parents in meetings or in productive workshops. She is also in charge of the artistic workshops for young people and mothers in the locality.



Luz Martina Vargas Falla

Teacher


Luz is the teacher of the Tres Pasitos-class in the Mama Cocha center. She also helps in different workshops which are organized in the afternoon for mothers. Luz graduated from the pedagogic institute in the year 2010 and has a bachelor in primary education and she has a lot of experience with children and also with children with special needs.


Carmen Farías

Workshop Teacher


Carmen leads the cosmetology course in the workshops. She is a cosmetology teacher and started to work with us officially in April 2015. Before that she has been helping us in previous workshops and for that we know her quality of professionalism.
