About us

Kiya Survivors is a family run organization consisting of 27 staff members, many of whom are close friends and family to Suzy Butler, the Founder and Managing Director. We are not a business and work is done from the heart. All staff earn minimum wages and some work free of charge, they work long hours and are always willing to help and support Kiya and each other. Kiyas aim is to stay small in order to ensure that the intimate working environment doesn’t change and funds are directed wisely and go where needed.

Due to the relaxed and creative work environment both staff and children are happy and all staff have an active input to the school curriculum, workshops etc. All staff are 100% dedicated and their enthusiasm and hard work an inspiration. Obviously we are all still learning and are continuously improving our work, however, Kiya has come a long way very quickly and will continue to offer the children the best service possible.
